Vestibular (Balance) Rehabilitation & Respiratory Physiotherapy
Balance and breathing are essential for independence and daily function. Vestibular rehabilitation helps the brain compensate for inner ear issues, improving gaze and postural stability, reducing dizziness, and boosting confidence through tailored exercises and fall-prevention guidance. Respiratory physiotherapy supports COPD, respiratory conditions, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, dysfunctional breathing, and recovery after surgery, ICU, or pneumonia. Smart Rehabilitation Ltd’s treatment focuses on breath control, clearing secretions, managing fatigue, and improving fitness, with programmes tailored to enhance mobility, endurance, and quality of life. Our elderly rehabilitation programmes can be enhanced with music therapy to support engagement and cognitive function, alongside advice from a specialist rehabilitation dietitian to maintain strength and overall wellbeing.

Women’s Health, Amputee & Moving & Handling Support
Physiotherapy can help women of all ages with pelvic health conditions, focusing on pelvic floor strength, posture, pressure management, and healthy bladder and pelvic function. For amputees, treatment supports all stages of recovery, including maintaining joint movement, managing swelling and pain, improving mobility, and promoting functional independence. Pain management may involve TENS, manual therapy, and desensitisation, alongside guidance on walking aids. Physiotherapists also provide moving and handling assessments, offering tailored equipment recommendations, training, and reports to reduce injury risk and ensure safe, effective rehabilitation.

24-Hour Postural Care
Our 24-hour postural care programme offers a holistic, person-centred approach for individuals with neurological or complex physical needs. Assessments consider posture, lifestyle, emotional wellbeing, and caregiver support. The programme includes specialist equipment prescription, training, and ongoing review to improve posture, comfort, and sleep, reduce pain and muscle tone issues, support mobility and daily care, and prevent long-term complications. Support may include seating and positioning systems, orthotics, walking and standing aids, risk assessments, and caregiver training. Accredited Level 2 training is available for families and professionals. Success is measured by improved quality of life, reduced pain, better sleep, fewer hospital admissions, enhanced rehabilitation outcomes, and cost-effective long-term equipment solutions.
Education & Training
Smart Rehabilitation Ltd provides expert training for clients, families, and staff, supported by care plans and visual guides. Programmes cover exercise routines, 24-hour postural care and equipment use, moving and handling techniques, including hoists and transfers, and safe use of walking and mobility aids. Train-the-trainer sessions are also available for carers and families, ensuring knowledge is shared effectively and individuals receive safe, consistent support in daily activities.
